  31. Subject: fax from windows to faxmodem hanging off a sun ?

  33. Does anyone know of what is required to get a PC running windows3.1
  34. and a winsock stack (pc/nfs5.0) to be able to fax using, say winfaxpro (or
  35. some other similar package) to a faxmodem connected to a sparcstation ?
  36. This sun (SunOS 4.1.2) is currently serving print queues and nfs to the pcs.

  38. The faxmodem that we are thinking of getting is the maestro 144FM (but we
  39. are open to suggestions on this, as well).

  75. I am getting a long pause on starting the newsreader.  Sometimes 25-30 seconds 
  76. long, but this is aparrently before any winsock calls (connection to NNTP) is 
  77. initiated because the window does not even open during this pause, the hard 
  78. drive is not reading, it just sits there with an hourglass symbol.  Is it 
  79. analyzing NEWS.INI during this phase?  If so then Mr. Tattam could you please 
  80. put in a 'Initialzing, please wait' message into the next revision?  BTW keep 
  81. up the good work all!
